How to Play YouTube Videos in the Background on Mobile Devices
Do you want to play YouTube videos in the background while you do other things on your mobile device? You can easily do this with Safari.
Safari is a web browser available for Apple devices such as iPhones and iPads. It’s easy to use, fast, and secure. Plus, it allows you to play YouTube videos in the background. Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Open the YouTube video in Safari
To start watching YouTube videos in the background, open Safari and navigate to YouTube.com. Then, search for the video you would like to watch and open it.
Step 2: Tap the screen to open playback controls
Once the video starts playing, tap on the screen of your iOS device to bring up the playback controls. At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see an icon that looks like a box with an arrow pointing up. Tap on this icon.
Step 3: Select “Request Desktop Site”
When you tap the icon, a menu will pop up. Tap on the “Request Desktop Site” option. This will change the YouTube website to its desktop version, allowing you to access additional features.
Step 4: Tap the Picture-in-Picture icon
At the top right corner of the screen, you’ll now see a Picture-in-Picture icon (it looks like a rectangle with two arrows). Tap on this icon to activate the Picture-in-Picture mode.
Step 5: Enjoy your YouTube video in the background
Now, you can enjoy your favorite YouTube video in the background. This means you can do other activities on your phone or tablet while still hearing the audio from the YouTube video. To stop the video from playing, simply tap on the Picture-in-Picture window - it will shrink back down and go away.
There you have it! With just a few clicks, you can now play YouTube videos in the background on your mobile device. Have fun!
